Exeter Respect Festival 2027 will return to Belmont Park, Exeter, on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June 2027, celebrating 30 years of bringing communities together through music, culture, creativity and conversation.

Since its first festival in 1997, Exeter Respect has championed diversity, equality and inclusion, encouraging people from all backgrounds to meet, learn from one another and challenge prejudice. Built around the belief that understanding helps overcome fear and discrimination, the festival continues to promote its long-standing message:

All Different, All Equal.

Over the years, Exeter Respect Festival has grown into one of the South West’s best-loved community events, welcoming around 20,000 visitors each year. For 2027, the theme Celebrating Unity highlights the many cultures, histories and experiences that make Exeter and the wider region such a vibrant place to live.

Visitors can look forward to a packed weekend featuring:

• Three stages of live music and dance from around the world
• Storytelling, talks and discussions exploring equality, diversity and social justice
• International food stalls serving flavours from across the globe
• Children’s activities and family entertainment
• Community organisations showcasing the work they do across the region

Exeter Respect Festival remains committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and accessible event for everyone. Entry is just £2, with free admission for under-16s, helping to support the future of this unique community celebration.

When is the Exeter Respect Festival?
The next Exeter Respect Festival takes place on Saturday 5th June and Sunday 6th June 2027.

What time does it start and finish?
On Saturday, gates open at 11:30am and the festival starts at 12:00pm. On Sunday, it starts at 11:00am and runs into the early evening.

Where is the festival held?
The festival takes place at Belmont Park, Belmont Road, Exeter, EX4 6SS. It is within easy walking distance of the city centre.

Is there parking nearby?
Yes. Belmont Road car park is next to the park, with additional city centre parking and Park and Ride options available.

Can I get there by public transport?
Yes. Exeter Central station is within walking distance, and Exeter St David’s is a short bus or taxi ride away. Regular buses run into the city centre.

Do I need a ticket?
Entry is free or low-cost, with a small charge for adults and free entry for children and young people. Payment is made on arrival.

Is the festival suitable for families?
Yes. The festival is family-friendly, with activities, performances and food for all ages, and areas specifically for children and families.

What can I expect at the festival?
You can enjoy live music, dance performances, international food stalls, workshops, arts activities, and community stalls.

Is the festival alcohol-free?
Yes. It is an alcohol-free event to help create a safe and inclusive environment.

Is the festival accessible?
The event takes place in a public park with step-free access.
