There will be lots of outdoor processions and activities, with opportunities for visitors to sample the wealth of stalls providing everything from global food to fine clothing, handmade crafts to information about local communities and organisations, all delivered with a very genuine smile.

THE WINDRUSH ZONE

Toy Library present activities for the whole family, spinning plates and poi activities, soft toy tombola and preloved toys and books stalls.

Newtown Primary School have made friendship bracelets as a random
act of kindness to share with other children and adults in our community. Their vision of achieving excellence together, through community, belonging and aspiration celebrates our diverse community at Newtown.

Scrapstore and Blue Slide offer fun to children and families with lots of activities to enjoy.
Exeter City Football Trust present their package of information about football in the community and fun activities.

Daisi on Sat 8th make and take arts and crafts under the gazebo from 11 – 4pm. Sun 9th – Drumming and Flamenco dancing workshops – a rotation of 45 min workshops 11.30 – 4pm. All activities are suitable for all ages, free and no sign up required.

Safe Soil provides fun for the whole family to touch the soil, plant your own seeds, join the mobile garden and learn how to save the soil.

Extinction Rebellion, Human Project and Climate Hub will display information about the environment, printing T-shirts and painting all on the theme of Environmental Justice.

Exeter Seed Bank Sat 8th bracelet making with beans and clay beads and body painting of plants, Sunday,bracelet making with beans and clay beads and hay basket making.

The Global Centre will be working with schools and displaying their archives of research they have collected by working with different communities.

RAMM dressed up as swans will be floating in between areas and displaying information at Exeter Phoenix’s stall.

DIVERSITY AREA

Book-Cycle, a UK based volunteer run charity seek to empower children worldwide through the provision of free books and educational resources, you can choose books for a donation.

Join Devon Faith and Belief (DFBF) to read poems for World Peace from different faiths and beliefs.

The Devon Ukraine Association, regardless of the war, will be displaying information and activities for everyone to enjoy.

Visit lots of stalls from around the world displaying their culture and sharing their taste of food including Refugees Support Devon; Ethiopian Link; Philippines Community and the Egyptian Association displaying their ancient heritage in style alongside their cuisine. The colourful Bulgarian Community will share their culture and on their stall including workshops to enjoy, and there will be a South India presence from the state of Kerala. Nigerian Community in Exeter display information about their activities in Exeter and share the taste of Nigeria. Devon Centocow Link have art activities and storytelling from South Africa. Multilingua Devon will display and explain how Devon has been shaped culturally, did you know there are more than 150 languages being used in Devon? Garland Support will present their work and run workshops. Palestinian stalls will be displaying information sharing the taste of the holy land. The Kurdish Community stall will be rich with Tehri culture exhibiting artefacts from their homeland. Cultural stalls include a stall from Hong Kong, and Afghani Jalwa clothing displaying their embroidery. Hikmat Devon, consisting multicultural groups from around Devon, will be showing a display about their heritage.

COMMUNITY AREA

There are trading stalls to share their unique products from Powerful Drums to a variety of clothing and handmade jewellery produced on display at very affordable prices.

The Devon County Council Communities Teams present information about refugees resettlement, the support that they provide to different communities in Devon and recruiting volunteers to help teach English to refugees.

Exeter University Medical Students will deliver health awareness sessions
South West Unison and Devon County Council Branch, one of our sponsors who have been involved with Exeter Respect since our inception 27 years ago, it all started with this branch! They will highlight and display information about diversity and the rights of workers.

Expect campaigners from many different charities, organisations displaying information about their activities and services. Visit their stalls to enrich your knowledge including Green Peace and Devon Air Ambulance.

In addition St.Sidwell’s Community Café will bring homemade pastries and bread from their bakery. Charities including Citizen Advice Exeter and Citizen Advice Torbay welcome everyone to talk to them and explain how you can obtain legal consultation and support. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service will be in attendance.

There are lots of delicious foods to sample and taste, and Bar Nova will be serving coffee, tea and non-alcoholic cocktails.

Due to the present economic climate, to sustain the festival there’s an entrance fee of £2 for each day, under 16s are free.
