Exeter Schools Song Festival - Global 25 The great hall £8 (£4.50 concs.) Family (up to five tickets) £20 (£12
concs.)
The theme for this year's Exeter Schools' Song Festival is Global
25, celebrating both the diversity of Exeter and the 25th anniversary
of Devon's folk arts development charity Wren Music, which oversees
the annual project. Over the last three months, over five hundred
young people from schools throughout the city, from community youth
choirs, and from the home-educated Free Range Learners, have been
working hard to learn songs from around the world. Each group has
been encouraged to explore the musical culture of another country
with people from their own community, whether with school students,
parents, or other local people, who can share the songs and traditions
of their ancestry. The concert will also feature a special guest
appearance by the South African ComArts Choir. www.wrenmusic.co.uk
